Data Availability Statement

Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript describing:

  • Where the research data can be accessed
  • Repository name, DOI, accession number, or permanent link
  • Whether data are publicly available or available upon request
  • Any ethical, legal, or confidentiality restrictions affecting access

Acceptable Data Sharing Options

  • Publicly accessible data repositories
  • Data available upon reasonable request from the corresponding author
  • Restricted access due to privacy, ethical, legal, or institutional limitations

The journal encourages the use of reliable repositories to support long-term preservation and accessibility of research data.

Author Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all research data
  • Retain raw data and supporting materials after publication
  • Provide data for editorial verification if requested
  • Comply with ethical standards and applicable regulations

Ethical and Confidential Data

Data involving human participants, confidential information, or sensitive materials must be handled in accordance with ethical guidelines, privacy regulations, and institutional policies. Where data cannot be shared publicly, authors should clearly explain the reason within the Data Availability Statement.

Editorial Oversight

The Turkish Journal of Computer and Mathematics Education (TURCOMAT) reserves the right to request clarification, supporting documentation, or access to underlying research data during editorial evaluation or post-publication review where necessary to maintain research integrity and transparency.
