The Turkish Journal of Computer and Mathematics Education (TURCOMAT) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical scholarly publishing. Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and is considered a serious violation of publication ethics.

All submitted manuscripts are expected to comply with ethical publishing standards and responsible research practices.

Plagiarism Screening

  • All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software to evaluate originality, similarity, and citation practices before entering the peer review process.

Author Responsibility

  • The work must be original and not submitted elsewhere simultaneously.
  • All sources and references must be properly acknowledged.
  • The manuscript must not contain plagiarism or fabricated content.
  • Authors are fully responsible for the integrity of their work.

Definition of Plagiarism

  • Copying text, ideas, data, or images without proper attribution.
  • Using another author’s work without acknowledgment.
  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication.
  • Paraphrasing substantial portions without citation.
  • Reproducing copyrighted material without permission.

Citation and Attribution

All content derived from previously published work must be properly cited and referenced. Direct quotations should be clearly indicated using quotation marks or appropriate formatting.

Self-Plagiarism and Prior Publication

Reuse of previously published material, including theses, conference papers, preprints, or working papers, must be clearly disclosed and properly cited at the time of submission.

Figures, Tables, and Illustrations

Figures, tables, charts, and graphical materials reproduced from other sources must include proper citation and permission where required.

Editorial Action and Investigation

  • Request clarification or revision
  • Reject the manuscript
  • Publish corrections or notices
  • Retract published articles
  • Notify affiliated institutions when necessary
