Biometric Technology Application in the Aviation Industry: Preliminary Findings from Passenger Perspective

Abstract

The global aviation industry is growing, with the current global airline revenues already exceed £600 billion per annum (IATA).  Despite the importance of the technology application in the aviation sector, not many studies are looking at the perception of technology adoption at the airport from the passenger point of view. This study provides the landscape of biometric technology usage in the aviation industry. Quantitative study is adopted in this study to achieve the research objectives. The potential of technology advancement in aviation sector will also be discussed.
