Examining Upper Primary Level Students’ Attitudes Towards Computers on the Basis of Different Variables: Sample of Trabzon

Abstract
In contemporary times, computers are widely spread around the world and affect our workplaces as well as our social lives in different ways. Today, dramatic increase of utilization of science, technology and computers in every aspect of human lives resulted in dramatic changes and developments in the field of education and caused increased use of computers in schools. In order to use computer technologies in schools effectively, first of all attitudes of teachers and students towards use of computers should be determined. In this sense, this study aims to determine upper primary level students‟ attitudes towards computers on the basis of different variables. Gender, living location, level of academic success and having a computer at home, frequency of computer use, having a computer lab in the school were used as independent variables.
