Data Mining in Web-based Education

Abstract
Nowadays, web-based education systems are being run with usual structure content system. But, however one of the most important deficiency in the world is behavior of the students cannot be analyzed in web platform. System requirements, changes in users’ demand over time and open system design depend on changes in demands are important factors in order to achieve maximum performance from system at design of web-based distance education systems. Purpose of distance education is to offer a chance for receiving education which can keep up with evolving technology to people as group or individuals with eliminating problems like time and geographical conditions. Distance education has been carried out with different methods over the years along with technology. “Distance education is a method which has emerged as an option to the traditional methods for problems, provides a planned education and communication-interaction between educators and students via specially crafted instructional units and various media” (İçten, 2006).
